About PetitionSpot

Hello dear Toonstruck fans,

I'd like to share with you the latest message Keith Arem left on the Toonstruck Two Petition Facebook page

Keith Arem Hey all -

Just to add to Drew's post...We are not affiliated with PetitionSpot and are not asking or collecting any money from fans.

Please keep up your support for Toonstruck, and thanks for your patience and keeping it alive. More news to come!

Keith Arem also told me he he has had "some excellent progress and developments on the Toonstruck project".

We are much closer to moving forward with the new release. We have been re-assembling and compiling the original assets to evaluate how we could re-release the original game, and what will be needed to do a sequel.
I will keep you updated on the game’s progress, and hopefully we can generate more interest to help finance its release!

This kind of message just makes my day :)
Heck, even Duke Nukem Forever came out of limbo, anything can happen now!

Stay posted for more Toonstruck news!

Good news everyone!

Hey All -

Thanks for your support and dedication. We sincerely appreciate your devotion to our project, and we hope to do you proud. It may be some time before you start to hear official announcements, but we are hoping your support helps raise awareness and confidence for an updated re-release of Toonstruck.

As you are aware, much of ...the game was never released due to time and budget constraints. We are evaluating the cost and time to incorporate these assets into the initial re-release. In the coming months, I will do my best to get you behind the scenes peeks into the development process.

Thanks again for your continued support, and I hope to provide you with more news soon.

Best Regards -

Keith Arem

First post

Ok, if you don't know the whole story of Toonstruck 2, I need to tell you what this community is about. Back in 1996, there was an adventure game known as Toonstruck, in the vein of "Cool world" and "Who framed Roger Rabbit?", about a living animator (played by Christopher Lloyd) trapped in the cartoon world.

Before the release, the game was cut in two parts with the intention to release the second part as a sequel. Unfortunately, the first game was a commercial failure, and this never happened.

Now, in 2010, Keith Arem, the musical director of Toonstruck, who now owns the rights to it, is planning to re-release Toonstruck and include the second part. But he needs "tremendous fan support" to interest the publishers and raise funding. So there's a fan petition with a goal of 50000 signatures. Though it's a difficult task, we, adventure game fans, should do our best to achieve it! The fate of Toonstruck 2 lies in our hands!

Here you can read two letters (1, 2) by Mr. Arem, as well as a mini-interview with him.

This news has already received coverage on gaming sites:

Rock, Paper, Shotgun
Adventure Corner

and others.

But wait, there's more!
Keith Arem attached a very interesting goodie to one of his letters. It's a music list (password: "toonstruck") for Toonstruck, both first and second. So now we can learn many interesting things about the characters and locations of Toonstruck 2.  It's now clear that we'll visit Frank's Cryo Crypt, Fantasy World, Creepy Dentist's Office, Swamp and other cool new locations, and revisit the familiar places of Cutopia, Zanydu and Malevolands.

So let's collaborate in the effort to make this dream true! Sign the petition and support Toonstruck 2!
